Who we are

Fölkel is a slow-made textile studio inspired by place, memory, and tradition. Every piece is handcrafted using reclaimed fabrics, tactile stitching, and thoughtful embellishments—designed to bring texture, character, and soul into everyday life.

Rooted in the gentle rhythms of the natural world, the work draws deeply from the landscapes that have shaped me: the soft rolling hills and Georgian textures of Bath, the wild coastlines and ancient valleys of my South Wales home, and the refined beauty and philosophy of Japanese folk craft. From sashiko-inspired stitching to story-rich appliqué and whimsical forms, each object holds a sense of time, care, and quiet joy.

My work celebrates imperfection, celebrates the handmade, and invites a slower, more thoughtful way of living with the things we keep close. Every piece is designed to feel personal, purposeful, and a little bit magical.
